Gitaar-choruspedaal TC Electronic SCF GOLD SE True Bypass analoog

The TC Electronic SCF GOLD SE True Bypass Analog is an analog chorus pedal for electric guitar that delivers classic chorus modulation tones with a simple control layout. Built with analog circuitry and True Bypass switching, the unit preserves the instrument's signal integrity when the effect is disengaged while adding lush, warm modulation when engaged. Its compact design and straightforward controls make it suitable for both studio tracking and live stage use.

Advantages

The analog signal path provides natural-sounding chorus tones without digital artifacts, and True Bypass switching ensures the dry signal remains unaffected when the effect is off. The control set allows fast, intuitive adjustment of modulation depth and rate, making it easy to dial in subtle shimmer or more pronounced warble. The pedal's build is optimized for reliable performance in rehearsal, studio and live environments.

Suitable for

• Electric guitarists seeking warm, vintage-style chorus sounds
• Studio recording where analog modulation character is preferred
• Live performance setups requiring True Bypass to protect signal chain clarity
• Players needing simple, immediate control over depth and rate

Key specifications

• Effect type: Analog chorus modulation
• Switching: True Bypass
• Controls: Depth and Rate (straightforward modulation shaping)
• Instrument compatibility: Electric guitar
• Form factor: Compact stompbox enclosure suitable for pedalboards

How to use

Connect the guitar to the pedal's input and run the output to an amplifier or the next device in the signal chain. Use the Rate knob to set the speed of the modulation and the Depth knob to control intensity. Engage the footswitch to activate the chorus effect; disengage to return to the unaffected, True Bypass signal. Adjust settings while playing to find the desired balance between subtle enhancement and pronounced chorus character.

Recommendations

For studio work, start with low Depth settings and moderate Rate to add subtle width without overwhelming the core tone. For clean live textures, set moderate Depth and lower Rate for shimmer; for psychedelic or surf-style sounds, increase both Rate and Depth. Place the pedal after drive/fuzz effects for traditional chorus placement, or experiment with routing to achieve alternative timbres.
