Glasvezelconnector SC/SC bus/bus ShiverPeaks BS07-60064

The ShiverPeaks BS07-60064 SC/SC Female/Female fibre optic connector is designed for secure bulkhead mounting and stable optical connections. It provides a compact interface for joining two SC-terminated fibre optic cables within patch panels, enclosures, or wall plates. The connector's dual female SC coupling enables straightforward mating of SC male connectors while maintaining alignment and minimizing signal loss, supporting reliable data and telecommunication links.

Advantages

This SC/SC female-to-female bulkhead connector offers precise alignment of optical fibres to reduce insertion loss and back reflection. Its compact bulkhead form factor saves space in racks and panels and facilitates neat cable management. Constructed for compatibility with standard SC ferrules, it simplifies installation and replacement without special tools. The passive design requires no power and is suitable for multimode and singlemode networks depending on cable terminations.

Suitable for

• Joining two SC-terminated fibre optic patch cords through a panel or wall plate
• Patch panels and network enclosures in data centres and telecom closets
• Field installations requiring a compact bulkhead SC coupling
• Laboratory test setups where temporary or permanent fibre connections are needed

Key specifications

• Connector type: SC female to SC female bulkhead coupling
• Mounting: panel/bulkhead installation
• Interface: standard SC ferrule alignment
• Design: compact duplex-capable form factor for neat cable routing
• Operation: passive optical coupling with low insertion loss characteristics

How to use

Mount the connector in the panel cutout or bulkhead aperture and secure it according to the enclosure's mounting method. Insert SC-terminated patch cords into each female receptacle until they click into place, ensuring proper axial alignment. For removal, depress the connector latch on the SC plugs and withdraw the patch cords. Verify optical continuity and power levels after installation to confirm acceptable insertion loss and return loss performance.

Recommendations

Use dust caps or keep the connector covered when not in use to prevent contamination. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating, and perform optical power testing after installation to ensure link quality.
