Glasvezelkabel BlueOptics CAB-OM3-LC-LC-7.5M-BO aqua kleur

The BlueOptics CAB-OM3-LC-LC-7.5M-BO Aqua colour is a 7.5 meter OM3 multimode fibre optic patch cable with LC connectors on both ends. Designed for high-speed, full-duplex optical links, this cable uses laser-optimized multimode fiber suitable for data centre and network interconnects. The cable sheath is LSZH (low smoke zero halogen), reducing toxic gas and smoke emission in the event of fire while meeting common industrial safety norms. BlueOptics supplies cables produced with branded fiber and precision ceramic ferrules to ensure consistent optical performance and long connector life.

Advantages

This OM3 LC–LC patch cable provides low attenuation and high return loss for reliable signal transmission over short- to medium-range multimode links. LC connectors on both ends enable compact duplex connections compatible with most transceivers and patch panels. The LSZH jacket improves safety in enclosed or public spaces, and the cable is manufactured and tested to meet established standards for interferometric and OTDR performance. Built with quality fiber and zirconia ferrules, the cable supports many mating cycles with minimal performance degradation.

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for dust or contamination before connecting and clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Plug each LC connector into matching LC ports on patch panels or transceivers, ensuring correct duplex orientation for transmit and receive channels. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks and mechanical strain; observe the specified minimum bend radius for multimode fiber. When disconnecting, pull by the connector boot rather than the fiber jacket to avoid damage to the ferrule or fiber.

Recommendations

For best optical performance, keep connector endfaces clean, store unused cables in protective packaging, and avoid tight bends or crush loads. Use OM3-rated transceivers and maintain consistent polarity when installing duplex LC connections. Periodic testing with insertion loss and return loss measurements is recommended for critical links.
