Glasvezelkabel BlueOptics SFP9231FU7.5MK MDC LC OM4 7,5 m magenta

The BlueOptics SFP9231FU7.5MK is a 7.5 m fibre optic patch cord engineered for InfiniBand and high-speed data centre interconnects. It uses laser-optimized multi-mode OM4 fibre (G50/125 µm) for reliable 850 nm transmission in duplex mode and combines an MDC/UPC duplex connector on one end with LC/UPC on the other. The cable features a magenta LSZH jacket for easy identification and reduced smoke and halogen emission in case of fire.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre patch cord supports high-bandwidth, short-range links typical for InfiniBand and modern data networks, offering low insertion loss and consistent duplex performance. The laser-optimized multi-mode construction improves modal bandwidth and allows stable 850 nm operation. Dual-ended connectorisation with MDC and LC terminations ensures compatibility between high-density transceivers and standard LC ports while the LSZH outer jacket provides safer deployment in enclosed environments.

How to use

Route the 7.5 m BlueOptics OM4 patch cord between the MDC-equipped transceiver or module and the LC port on a patch panel or device. Align and gently insert each connector until it clicks into place; avoid excessive bending or tension on the cable and respect the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. When disconnecting, press the release mechanism on the MDC or LC connector before removing to prevent damage to the ferrule.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this OM4 cable for short-reach 850 nm links and avoid tight bends, sharp edges, and prolonged exposure to mechanical stress. Clean connector endfaces before mating and store spare cords in protective reels or holders to prevent contamination and preserve insertion loss characteristics.
