Glasvezelkabel LOGON AL5SCSC25I/4I OM4 SC–SC 25 m, 50 µm, vollduplex

LOGON AL5SCSC25I/4I is a 25 m OM4 multimode fibre optic cable terminated with SC connectors on both ends in an SC–SC configuration. Designed for full duplex transmission, this 50 µm core cable delivers reliable high-speed links for short to medium distances in data centers, server rooms and telecom installations. The cable’s OM4 specification and multimode construction make it suitable for high-bandwidth applications where consistent signal integrity and low attenuation are required.

Advantages

The OM4 fibre offers higher bandwidth and extended reach compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, enabling stable performance in demanding network environments. Full duplex SC–SC termination simplifies installation and ensures correct pair alignment for bidirectional communication. A 25 m length provides flexibility for common rack-to-rack and equipment-to-equipment connections while maintaining low insertion loss and reliable connector performance.

Suitable for

• Data center uplinks and switch-to-switch connections
• Server room interconnects and patching
• Telecom cabinets and equipment racks
• InfiniBand and multimode high-speed links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: multimode, 50 µm core
• OM grade: OM4 for enhanced bandwidth
• Connector type: SC to SC, full duplex
• Length: 25 metres
• Colour: violet

How to use

Inspect both SC connectors and the cable for visible damage before installation. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and compression; follow minimum bend radius recommendations for multimode fibres. Plug each SC connector firmly into the corresponding SC port until the connector latch engages. For full duplex operation, ensure transmit and receive pairs are connected to the correct ports on network equipment. After installation, perform basic optical tests such as continuity, insertion loss and, if available, OTDR checks to verify link quality.

Recommendations

Keep connectors capped when not in use to prevent contamination. Clean connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before mating. Avoid excessive bending and tension during routing, and store spare cable coiled loosely to prevent microbends. Use OM4-rated transceivers and equipment to achieve the designed performance of this 50 µm multimode cable.
