Glasvezelkabel S/CONN ShiverPeaks 07-534815 30m

The ShiverPeaks Fibre Optic Cable S/CONN 07-534815 30m is a 30-metre OM5 multimode fibre patch cable with LC and SC connectors designed for full duplex data transmission. The cable uses a 50 µm core diameter multimode fibre suitable for high-speed short- to medium-range networking links. Its construction balances flexibility and mechanical durability to support installations in data centers, network racks, and structured cabling environments where reliable optical connectivity is required.

Advantages

This OM5 multimode fibre cable provides low attenuation and consistent optical performance across applicable wavelength ranges, enabling stable high-bandwidth links. The combination of LC and SC connector terminations offers broad compatibility with common optical equipment and patch panels. The 30 m length reduces the need for additional splices or extension assemblies in typical rack-to-rack or room-to-room runs while the cable jacket and fibre buffering are engineered to withstand routine handling and installation stresses.

Suitable for

• Data centre horizontal and inter-rack connections
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch links
• Structured building cabling and backbone installations
• High-speed LAN segments and aggregation points

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 30 metres
• Connector types: LC to SC
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Typical use: Short- to medium-range high-bandwidth links

How to use

Install the cable by connecting the LC and SC ends to the appropriate ports on network equipment or patch panels, ensuring correct orientation for full duplex operation. Route the cable through designated cable management paths or trays, avoiding tight bends and sharp edges to maintain the fibre bend radius. Secure the cable with non-compressive ties or fasteners and label both ends if required for easy identification. Perform an optical link test after installation to verify attenuation and proper signal transmission.

Recommendations

Maintain recommended minimum bend radius during installation and avoid repeated flexing near connector ends to preserve optical performance. Use compatible LC and SC adapters or panels and verify connector cleanliness before mating; contaminated connectors are a common cause of signal loss.
