Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks 07-510115 0,5 m SC, grijs, lime

The ShiverPeaks 07-510115 0.5m SC Grey Lime is an OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends, designed for short-range, high-bandwidth network links. With a 50 µm core diameter and support for full duplex communication, this 0.5 metre cable delivers consistent signal quality and low attenuation for use in data centres, network racks and telecommunication closets. Its grey jacket with a lime accent provides clear visual identification while maintaining a compact profile suitable for dense cabling environments.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers low insertion loss and controlled differential mode delay typical of OM5 multimode media, enabling reliable high-speed data transmission over short distances. The SC connectors provide a secure push-pull coupling mechanism that is widely compatible with SC ports. The short 0.5 m length reduces excess cable slack in patching fields, helping to maintain neat cable management and reduce bend-induced signal degradation.

Suitable for

• Interconnects between switches, patch panels and servers in data centres
• High-density rack patching and fibre management panels
• Short-reach multimode links for storage area networks and internal networking

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Duplex: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Grey with lime accent

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and clean with approved fibre cleaning tools if required. Align and insert the SC connector into the mating adapter or port with a push-pull action until it latches. Use standard fibre management practices to avoid tight bends and strain on the cable; maintain minimum bend radius as recommended for multimode fibre. For best performance, test the link after installation with appropriate optical test equipment to verify loss and continuity.

Recommendations

Store and route the cable away from sharp edges and sources of mechanical stress. Use colour-coding and labelling in patch panels to reflect the cable's grey and lime appearance for easier identification. For guaranteed performance in critical links, perform regular inspection and cleaning of connector endfaces and validate link parameters after any reconfiguration.
