Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks 07-510915 20m SC grijs limoen

The ShiverPeaks 07-510915 20m SC Grey Lime is an OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for duplex links, it enables high-speed data transmission with low attenuation and broad bandwidth across short- and medium-range network runs. The cable is intended for use in structured cabling systems, data centres, and enterprise networking where consistent signal quality and compatibility with SC ports are required.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable provides enhanced modal bandwidth compared with earlier multimode types, supporting higher data rates and improved performance in wavelength-division multiplexing applications. The SC connector pair offers a secure, push-pull mating interface with reliable alignment for repeated connections. The 20 metre length balances reach and manageability for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-patch-panel routing, and the cable jacket in grey with lime marking simplifies identification in cable bundles.

Suitable for

• Short- to medium-range backbone and horizontal links in data centres
• High-speed duplex connections between switches, servers, and patch panels
• Enterprise structured cabling and equipment interconnects
• Applications using multimode OM5 for improved bandwidth and multi-wavelength systems

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC (duplex)
• Length: 20 metres
• Cable jacket colour: grey with lime marking
• Mode: multimode duplex

How to use

Route the fibre cable between compatible SC ports on network equipment, ensuring the connectors are clean and free of dust before insertion. Align and push the SC connector until it clicks into the adapter or port; for removal, depress the release mechanism and pull straight out. Avoid tight bends and excessive tension during installation: maintain the manufacturer's minimum bend radius and secure the cable with appropriate cable management to prevent strain and microbending losses.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean SC endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before each connection. Label both ends to reflect connection endpoints and store spare length in service loops to reduce stress. For optimal performance, use OM5-compatible transceivers and ensure connectors and adapters are in good condition.
