Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-510215 1m SC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-510215 1m SC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for short-range, high-bandwidth data transmission. With a 50 µm core diameter and SC connectors on both ends, this cable supports full duplex communication and is intended for structured cabling in data centres, network racks and telecommunication closets. The green jacket provides standard color-coding for easy identification in mixed-cable installations.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable offers consistent multimode performance suitable for high-speed protocols. SC connectors provide reliable mechanical coupling and simple push-pull insertion. The 1 metre length reduces excess slack in rack installations and helps maintain tidy cable management. Color coding simplifies identification, lowering the risk of accidental disconnection or incorrect patching.

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Cable length: 1 m
• Duplex: Full duplex (duplex-rated fibre pair)
• Jacket color: Green
• Typical application: Short-reach, high-bandwidth multimode links

How to use

Route the 1 m SC–SC OM5 patch cable between compatible SC ports on transceivers, patch panels or network equipment. Ensure connectors and ports are clean before mating; use proper dust caps when the cable is not connected. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding port until it clicks; for duplex operation, align both connectors of the pair as required by your patch panel or transceiver orientation. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress on the cable to preserve optical performance.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, verify that both ends are connected to SC interfaces and that connected devices support multimode OM5 links. Use fibre cleaning tools prior to connection, maintain bend radius above manufacturer minimums, and secure cables to reduce movement. Select appropriate cable lengths to minimize excess slack and improve airflow in racks.
