Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-510415 3m SC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-510415 3m SC Green is an OM5 fibre optic patch cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full-duplex multimode links, this 3-meter cable provides a consistent physical interface for short-reach, high-bandwidth networks. The green jacket identifies the OM5 multimode grade and helps distinguish it in cable bundles and patch panels.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable supports wideband multimode transmission characteristics suited to short-range, high-density installations. With SC push-pull snap connectors on both ends, it ensures reliable mating and low insertion loss in standard patching environments. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management in data racks and distribution frames, while the green jacket enables quick visual identification of multimode wideband links.

Suitable for

• Data centre patching and rack-to-rack connections
• High-bandwidth short-reach links in enterprise networks
• Multimode fibre installations requiring OM5 classification
• Patch panels, distribution frames and backbone segments

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Connector type: SC to SC (both ends)
• Length: 3 metres
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Mode: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identifier)

How to use

Inspect connectors and cable for visible damage before installation. Route the 3 m SC–SC cable between patch panels, transceivers or equipment ports following existing cable management paths to avoid sharp bends and excessive strain. Align and insert SC connectors until the latch engages; ensure correct polarity for full-duplex links. After connection, verify signal integrity with appropriate test equipment or monitor link status LEDs on network devices.

Recommendations

Maintain bend radius recommendations and avoid repeated flexing near connector boots. Use labelled cable ties or colour-coded management to keep the green OM5 cable identifiable in dense installations. Clean connector endfaces with approved fibre cleaning tools before mating to reduce insertion loss and ensure consistent performance.
