Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-510615 7,5 m SC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-510615 7.5 m SC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter. Designed for full duplex data transmission, this 7.5 metre cable provides a stable physical link for short- to medium-range networking applications where multimode optical performance and colour-coded identification are required.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable supports high-bandwidth multimode transmission and is colour-coded green for easy identification in patch panels and cable trays. The SC connectors provide a push-pull mating mechanism for reliable connections and low insertion loss, while the 50 µm core diameter is compatible with multimode transceivers and active equipment designed for OM-class fibres. The 7.5 m length balances reach and manageability for wiring closets and equipment rooms.

Suitable for

• Interconnecting network switches, patch panels and transceivers in data centres and server rooms
• High-bandwidth audiovisual distribution and AV over IP systems
• Fiber backbone segments and horizontal runs where OM5 multimode is specified

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connector type: SC to SC, duplex
• Cable colour: green
• Transmission mode: multimode, full duplex

How to use

Route the cable along appropriate cable management paths and avoid sharp bends to preserve optical performance. Align the SC connectors with the corresponding ports and insert until the connector clicks into place; for removal, depress the SC latch and pull straight out. Ensure transceivers and equipment are configured for multimode OM5 operation and inspect connector endfaces before mating to avoid contamination. Use protective dust caps when connectors are not in use.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain the minimum bend radius specified by the cable manufacturer, keep connectors clean using fibre-grade cleaning tools, and verify link performance with appropriate optical test equipment after installation. Use colour coding and labelling to simplify future maintenance and ensure compatibility with multimode OM5 transceivers and patching standards.
