Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-510715 10m SC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-510715 10m SC Green is an OM5 multimode fibre optic cable with SC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter, designed for full duplex data transmission. Its 10-meter length and green jacket provide clear identification in structured cabling environments, while OM5 multimode construction enables support for shortwave wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) and high-bandwidth links in modern network infrastructures.

Advantages

This cable provides stable high-speed data transfer over multimode fibre with low insertion loss and consistent modal performance across the 50 µm core. The SC duplex connectors ensure secure, easy mating and disconnection in rack and panel installations. Its green jacket offers visual differentiation for OM5 infrastructure, and the cable's construction is intended for durability in data center and telecommunications environments.

Suitable for

• Data center backbone and horizontal cabling where OM5 multimode is deployed
• High-bandwidth server-to-switch and switch-to-switch connections
• Short-reach wavelength division multiplexing (SWDM) applications
• Patch panels and equipment with SC duplex ports

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Connector type: SC duplex on both ends
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Cable length: 10 meters
• Mode of operation: Full duplex
• Jacket color: Green (OM5 standard identification)

How to use

For installation, route the 10m cable between devices ensuring no sharp bends or kinks; maintain bend radius recommended for multimode fibre to avoid increased attenuation. Clean connector endfaces before making connections using appropriate fibre cleaning tools to prevent signal loss. Insert SC connectors into matching SC duplex ports until the latch engages; confirm secure seating and transmit data tests to verify link performance. For patching in cabinets, use cable management to prevent tension on the connectors and to maintain organized pathways.

Recommendations

Store and handle the cable in a dry, dust-free environment; avoid tight coils and protect connector endfaces with dust caps when not in use. Use OM5-compatible transceivers and equipment to benefit from SWDM and higher aggregated throughput. Periodically inspect and clean connectors to maintain optimal performance.
