Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-530415 3 m LC SC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-530415 3 m OM5 fibre optic cable with LC and SC connectors provides a multimode link optimized for high-bandwidth short-reach applications. With a 50 µm core diameter and duplex configuration, the cable supports simultaneous bidirectional data transfer and is suited for structured cabling in data centres, patch panels and active network equipment. The green jacket identifies the OM5 fibre type and helps with quick visual identification in multi-fibre installations.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre optic cable combines a 50 µm core with LC and SC terminations to deliver reliable multimode performance and low insertion loss in typical data centre environments. The duplex format enables full-duplex transmission for modern switches and transceivers. A 3 m length offers flexibility for rack-to-rack or equipment-to-panel connections while minimising excess cable slack. The colour-coded green sheath simplifies network organisation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centres
• Server-to-switch connections in enterprise networks
• Short-reach high-bandwidth links for storage and compute clusters
• Upgrading existing multimode infrastructure to OM5-capable equipment

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector A: LC duplex
• Connector B: SC duplex
• Length: 3 m
• Configuration: Duplex (full duplex)
• Jacket colour: Green (OM5 identification)

How to use

Connect the LC end to LC-compatible transceivers or ports and the SC end to SC ports or panel adapters, ensuring connectors are clean and free of dust prior to insertion. Route the cable along designated cable management pathways, avoiding tight bends and excessive tension that could increase loss or damage the fibre. For best performance, use compatible multimode transceivers and verify link integrity with appropriate testing equipment after installation.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors with a fibre inspection tool and use professional-grade cleaning before mating. Maintain minimum bend radius specified by the manufacturer, avoid crushing or kinking the cable, and label both ends to speed future maintenance. For longer distances or single-mode requirements, select an appropriate fibre type and transceiver pairing.
