Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS07-530615 7,5 m LC SC groen

The ShiverPeaks BS07-530615 7.5m OM5 fibre optic cable with LC and SC connectors is designed for high-density network environments and high-speed data links. Constructed with a 50 µm core multimode fibre and color-coded green jacket, this full-duplex cable supports wavelength-division multiplexing in modern network infrastructures. The cable provides a stable optical connection between equipment with LC and SC ports, suitable for data centers, server rooms and enterprise network cabinets.

Advantages

This OM5 fibre cable offers low insertion loss and controlled modal bandwidth thanks to its 50 µm core, enabling reliable short- and medium-range multimode transmission. The combination of LC and SC connectors ensures compatibility with a wide range of network devices and transceivers. The 7.5 m length provides flexibility for rack-to-rack or rack-to-equipment connections without excess slack, while the green jacket follows common color coding for OM5 multimode fibre, simplifying identification and management in dense cabling environments.

Suitable for

• Interconnection between switches, patch panels and transceivers in data centers
• Short- and medium-distance multimode links in enterprise networks
• High-speed server uplinks and SAN connections
• Wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) enabled systems using OM5

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM5 multimode optical fibre
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connectors: LC on one end, SC on the other end
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket color: Green (OM5 standard color coding)

How to use

Before connecting, inspect connector endfaces for dust or damage and clean them with appropriate optical-grade cleaning tools if necessary. Plug the LC connector into the LC port and the SC connector into the SC port until each connector latches securely. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius specified by multimode fibre best practices. Verify link integrity using network diagnostics or optical test equipment and monitor for expected signal levels and throughput.

Recommendations

Store the cable coiled loosely and protected from direct sunlight and mechanical stress. Use dust caps when connectors are not in use. For best performance, pair OM5 cables with compatible multimode transceivers and follow manufacturer guidelines for connector cleaning and handling.
