Glasvezelkabel ShiverPeaks BS77823 2 m SC geel

The ShiverPeaks BS77823 2m SC Yellow is a single-mode fibre optic cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission over short-to-medium distances. With OS1/OS2 fibre and a 9 µm core diameter, this full duplex cable uses SC connectors on both ends to provide stable optical connections suitable for networking equipment, patch panels and fibre distribution systems. The yellow jacket indicates single-mode use and helps with cable identification in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

This 2 metre fibre optic cable offers low attenuation and precise optical alignment thanks to its single-mode OS1/OS2 construction and 9 µm core. The SC connectors provide a push-pull coupling mechanism for secure and repeatable mating, while the full duplex configuration supports simultaneous transmit and receive channels. The distinct yellow jacket improves visual management in racks and trays, and the cable length is intended for common interconnect and patching tasks where short runs are required.

Suitable for

• Connecting single-mode transceivers and networking equipment in data centres and telecom racks
• Patching between fibre patch panels and switches or routers
• Short horizontal runs and equipment interconnects in enterprise networks
• Laboratory setups and test environments requiring reliable single-mode links

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Single-mode (OS1/OS2)
• Core diameter: 9 µm
• Connector type: SC to SC
• Cable length: 2 metres
• Configuration: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Yellow (single-mode identification)

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for cleanliness before installation and, if necessary, clean with appropriate fibre-optic cleaning tools to avoid signal loss. Route the cable without tight bends and avoid crushing or pulling beyond recommended tensile limits. Insert each SC connector into the corresponding SC port until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Use cable management accessories to maintain bend radius and separate fibres from high-interference equipment.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep mating surfaces clean, avoid excessive bending near connectors, and use the 2 m length for patching and short interconnects where single-mode transmission is required. Store unused cables coiled loosely and protected from dust and physical damage.
