Grafietpotlood Faber-Castell 115204 4B

Pitt Graphite Matt pencil, 4B — Faber-Castell 115204
The Faber-Castell 115204 graphite pencil with 4B hardness is designed to deliver dark, smooth strokes with reduced surface glare. The matt graphite formulation minimizes light reflections on paper, allowing clearer tonal gradations and a pronounced depth effect. Supplied as a single black pencil, it is suitable for artists and students who need precise, controllable graphite for sketching and shading.

Advantages

The matt graphite core reduces shimmering and surface reflections typical of standard graphite pencils, improving visibility of subtle tones. The 4B grade provides a soft, dark line that is easy to blend and build up for strong contrast. Its consistent laydown and comfortable handling support detailed work and expressive shading without introducing additional shine.

Suitable for

• Sketching and preliminary drawings
• Shading and tonal studies
• Detail work and expressive line work
• Art classes and student assignments

How to use

Sharpen the pencil with a suitable craft or standard pencil sharpener to expose the matt graphite core. Use light, repeated strokes for even tonal build-up and increase pressure for darker, bolder lines. Blend tones with a blending stump or tissue if desired; the matt formulation helps maintain depth without strong reflections. Store horizontally or in a pencil case to protect the core from breaking.

Recommendations

For best results, use on medium- to high-weight drawing paper with a slight tooth to hold graphite. Test pressure and blending techniques on a scrap before final work to determine how the 4B matt graphite responds to your tools and paper.
