Haakse adapter ShiverPeaks 69051 — Toslink (optische) bus naar 3,5 mm optische stekker

The ShiverPeaks Angle Adapter 69051 converts a Toslink (optical) female socket to a 3.5 mm optical plug with a right-angle housing. It is intended for digital optical audio connections where a straight connector would interfere with the placement of devices or cable routing. The adapter provides a compact mechanical solution for connecting TVs, soundbars, DACs and other audio equipment with Toslink outputs to devices or cables using a 3.5 mm optical jack.

Advantages

The right-angle design reduces stress on optical cables and frees space behind equipment by redirecting the connection parallel to the device housing. The 3.5 mm optical plug enables compatibility with devices and extension leads that use the smaller optical jack format, while the Toslink female socket accepts standard optical cables. The adapter’s compact form factor allows neat installations in tight spaces and behind wall-mounted displays.

Suitable for

• Connecting a TV or soundbar with a Toslink output to devices that use a 3.5 mm optical input
• Routing optical audio cables in confined spaces or behind wall-mounted equipment
• Converting a Toslink socket to a 3.5 mm optical plug for use with extension leads
• Temporary or permanent setups where a low-profile right-angle connection is required

Key specifications

• Connection A: Toslink (optical) female socket
• Connection B: 3.5 mm optical plug (right-angle)
• Contact finish: gold-plated plug tip for improved contact
• Form factor: right-angle adapter for space-saving cable routing
• Compatibility: digital optical (TOSLINK) audio signals

How to use

Insert a standard Toslink optical cable into the adapter’s Toslink female socket until it seats securely. Then plug the 3.5 mm optical plug into the target device’s 3.5 mm optical input. Ensure both devices are powered off or volume is reduced when connecting or disconnecting to avoid transient noise. Verify the optical connection by selecting the appropriate digital audio output on the source device and checking for signal transmission.

Recommendations

Position the adapter so the right-angle plug points along the desired cable route to minimize bending of the attached optical cable. Avoid excessive force when inserting or removing the plug to protect the optical ferrule. Keep the optical interfaces free of dust and use a soft brush or canned air to clean if necessary.
