Hama 00205121 audiokabel 5 m 3,5 mm zwart

The Hama 00205121 5m audio cable provides a 3.5mm male-to-female connection in a durable black jacket, designed to extend or link audio sources and playback devices over a longer distance. With a five-metre length, this cable accommodates flexible device placement in home, office or studio environments while preserving the standard 3.5mm stereo connection used by phones, tablets, laptops, portable players and many audio systems.

Advantages

This 5 m 3.5mm audio cable combines a long reach with a slim, black design that minimises visual intrusion and helps keep setups tidy. The male-to-female configuration enables easy extension of existing headphone or aux leads without requiring adapters or re-routing devices. The cable's construction is intended to provide reliable signal transmission for stereo audio and to withstand regular handling and placement changes.

Suitable for

• Extending headphone or earphone leads where the original cable is too short
• Connecting portable devices (smartphones, tablets, MP3 players) to car stereos or home hi-fi systems
• Linking laptops or desktops to external speakers or audio interfaces
• Using in presentations or classrooms to connect audio sources to PA or speaker systems

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type (end A): 3.5 mm male stereo
• Connector type (end B): 3.5 mm female stereo
• Colour: Black

How to use

Insert the 3.5mm male connector into the audio output of the source device and plug the 3.5mm headphone or auxiliary plug into the female end of the extension cable. Ensure connectors are fully seated to maintain a secure connection and minimise contact noise. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinching points; leave gentle loops rather than tight kinks. When disconnecting, pull the connector housing rather than tugging the cable to extend service life.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the cable away from strong electromagnetic sources such as power transformers or large motors to reduce the risk of interference. If using in a vehicle or public environment, secure the cable to prevent trips and to avoid accidental unplugging. Store coiled loosely and avoid tight knots to preserve the internal conductor integrity.
