Hama 00205140 audiokabel 3 m TOSLINK zwart grijs stekker naar stekker verguld

The Hama 00205140 audio cable is a 3 m TOSLINK (optical) male-to-male cable with gold-plated contacts and a black/grey jacket. Constructed with high-tech aramid fibres and a highly flexible fibre-optic core, it is magnetically shielded to reduce interference and designed for long service life while delivering clear, distortion-free audio.

Advantages

The cable uses aramid reinforcement and a flexible optical fibre to combine durability with easy routing. Gold-plated TOSLINK connectors ensure reliable contact and reduced signal loss. Magnetic shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference, supporting stable digital audio transmission over the 3 m length.

Suitable for

• Connecting TVs to soundbars or AV receivers
• Linking gaming consoles to home audio systems
• Connecting CD/DVD/Blu-ray players to external audio equipment
• Use in home theatre setups where optical digital audio is required

How to use

Uncap the protective covers from both TOSLINK connectors (if present), align each connector with the optical audio port, and insert firmly but gently until it seats. Ensure the connected devices are set to use optical (TOSLINK) input/output in their audio settings. Avoid tight bends in the fibre-optic cable and route it away from strong sources of heat or sharp edges to maintain signal integrity.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep bend radius moderate and avoid kinking the optical cable. Use the 3 m length to plan cable runs that do not stress connectors; if longer runs are needed, choose an appropriately rated cable. Clean connector end faces only with a soft, lint-free cloth if contamination is suspected.
