HAMA HDMI adapter allows coupling a standard Type A HDMI connector to smaller Type C (Mini) and Type D (Micro) HDMI plugs, enabling connection of cameras, tablets or mobile devices with Mini/Micro HDMI outputs to standard HDMI cables and displays. The adapter is compact and travel-friendly, with gold-plated contacts that improve corrosion resistance and help maintain stable signal transfer between devices.

How to use

Insert the adapter’s Type C (Mini) or Type D (Micro) male plug into the smaller HDMI output on your camera, tablet or mobile device, then connect a standard HDMI Type A cable to the adapter’s female Type A port. Ensure both devices are powered off when making connections to avoid hot-plug issues if recommended by the device manufacturer. After connections are made, power on the source device and the display; the adapter allows the HDMI signal to pass through without additional configuration when devices support the same video and audio formats.

Recommendations

Check the HDMI version and supported resolutions of your source device and display to ensure compatibility. For reliable results, use high-quality HDMI cables and avoid excessive bending or strain on the adapter and connected cables. Store the adapter in a protective pouch during travel to prevent mechanical damage to the small plugs.
