Hama Profi Line ultraviolet (UV) camerafilter 95 mm

The Hama Profi Line 95 mm Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter reduces stray ultraviolet light to improve image clarity and color saturation in outdoor photography. Designed for lenses with a 95 mm filter thread, this black circular filter helps minimize atmospheric haze and light scatter that can soften distant details and wash out colors. The filter mounts on the front of the lens and provides a neutral effect on exposure while improving contrast in sunny, high-altitude or seaside conditions.

Advantages

The UV filter offers optical protection without altering the visible color balance or exposure settings, maintaining natural tonal rendering. Its 95 mm diameter fits compatible professional lenses and provides a durable front element that guards the lens from dust, moisture and minor impacts. The slim profile reduces vignetting on wide-angle lenses while the neutral glass construction ensures minimal influence on autofocus and metering systems.

Suitable for

• Landscape and nature photography in bright or hazy conditions
• Outdoor portrait and travel photography where UV haze is present
• Protecting the front element of professional large-diameter lenses

Key specifications

• Filter type: Ultraviolet (UV) protective filter
• Thread diameter: 95 mm
• Frame color and finish: black, slim profile
• Optical characteristic: neutral transmission in visible spectrum, UV blocking
• Mechanical features: screw-in mounting, low-profile ring to reduce vignetting

How to use

Screw the 95 mm UV filter into the front thread of a lens with matching diameter until lightly but securely seated; avoid overtightening. Use the filter on bright, sunlit or hazy days to reduce ultraviolet-induced blur and improve distant contrast. The filter can remain attached during regular shooting to provide continuous lens protection; remove it if stacking multiple filters causes vignetting or affects image quality for specific applications.

Recommendations

Clean the filter glass with a lint-free microfiber cloth and appropriate optical cleaner before and after use. Store the filter in its protective case when not mounted. Check compatibility with lens hoods and other accessories to prevent mechanical vignetting on ultra-wide lenses.
