Hama Safe Auto M1200 papierversnipperaar micro-cut 60 dB 22.5 cm zwart

The Hama Safe Auto M1200 is a micro-cut paper shredder with automatic paper intake for up to 120 sheets of DIN A4 paper (80 g/m²) and an effective working width of 22.5 cm. It produces extra-small scraps for increased data security and complies with GDPR requirements for destroying personal data. The unit also accepts plastic cards via the manual feed and features a 25-litre pull-out bin with viewing window, low-noise operation, and integrated overheating protection.

Advantages

The automatic feed allows continuous shredding of large stacks (up to 120 sheets) while the manual feed handles single sheets and plastic cards. Micro-cutting reduces shredded particle size to maximize bin capacity and enhance confidentiality. The cutter unit is staple-proof and made of steel, so documents with staples can be shredded without prior removal. Built-in sensors and LED indicators show bin-full, overheat and power status, and the device includes an automatic reverse function to clear jams. With castors for mobility and a 60-minute continuous runtime in automatic mode, it suits busy office environments.

Suitable for

• Offices that regularly dispose of confidential documents
• Home offices needing GDPR-compliant document destruction
• Reception areas or shared departments with medium-volume shredding needs

How to use

Place the shredder on a level surface and connect it to a suitable power outlet. For bulk shredding, insert up to 120 sheets (80 g/m²) into the automatic paper intake and the device will feed and shred automatically. For single sheets or plastic cards, use the manual feed slot and insert items carefully. If a jam occurs the automatic reverse function can be used to clear the paper; the unit will also stop automatically if it overheats. Empty the 25-litre pull-out bin via the viewing window when the “bin full” LED indicator lights up.

Recommendations

To maintain performance, avoid feeding materials other than paper and plastic cards, remove excessive staples only when necessary, and allow the shredder to cool after prolonged continuous use. Regularly check the viewing window and empty the bin before it becomes overfilled.
