HDMI-A-adapter ShiverPeaks 10-01054 8K metaal, HDMI Type-A aansluiting voor beeldapparaten

The ShiverPeaks HDMI-A adapter 10-01054 Metal is a compact passive adapter that provides a direct HDMI Type A connection between source devices and display equipment. Housed in a metal shell, the adapter supports video transmission up to 8K resolution, enabling compatibility with high-resolution monitors, TVs, projectors and other HDMI-equipped AV devices. Its small form factor makes it convenient for tight spaces and for reducing strain on existing cable connections.

Advantages

The metal housing improves durability and offers better mechanical protection compared with plastic adapters. As a passive HDMI Type A adapter, it requires no power or driver installation and works by directly passing through the HDMI signal. Support for up to 8K resolution ensures compatibility with modern high-resolution displays while remaining backward compatible with lower resolutions and standard HDMI signal formats.

Suitable for

• Connecting a laptop or media player to a high-resolution monitor or TV
• Linking AV receivers, projectors and set-top boxes to HDMI displays
• Temporary or semi-permanent installations where a compact HDMI Type A adapter is needed
• Home entertainment systems, office workstations and multimedia presentation setups

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI Type A (female/male as required by connection)
• Construction: Metal body for enhanced mechanical protection
• Maximum supported resolution: up to 8K video
• Device compatibility: Compatible with HDMI-equipped displays and source devices
• Operation: Passive adapter — no external power required
• Form factor: Compact and low-profile for constrained spaces

How to use

Insert the adapter between the HDMI cable and the display or source device so that the HDMI Type A connectors align correctly. Ensure both devices are powered off when making the physical connection to avoid hot-plugging issues, then power on the source and display. The adapter functions transparently, passing the HDMI signal through; use the display and source settings to select resolution, refresh rate and audio configuration as needed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use high-quality HDMI cables rated for the desired resolution and keep cable runs within recommended lengths for the chosen signal bandwidth. Avoid excessive bending or tension at the connector to reduce mechanical stress on the adapter and connected ports.
