HDMI-A-adapter ShiverPeaks 10-01055 8K metaal, HDMI full-size naar HDMI full-size

ShiverPeaks HDMI-A adapter 8K metal (full-size HDMI to full-size HDMI) is a compact inline coupler designed to join two standard HDMI A cables to maintain video and audio passthrough up to 8K resolution. Its metal housing provides mechanical protection and stable connector alignment for frequent connections between displays, projectors, gaming consoles and AV components. The adapter supports high-bandwidth HDMI signals while keeping a small form factor suited for tight installation spaces and cable management.

Advantages

The metal casing improves durability and shielding compared with plastic adapters, while the robust HDMI A connectors ensure reliable contact and reduced signal loss. Support for up to 8K resolution allows the adapter to handle high-resolution video formats and high refresh rates when used with compatible cables and devices. Its compact design minimizes cable strain and simplifies temporary or permanent extensions of existing HDMI runs without altering source or display equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting two full-size HDMI cables to extend cable length
• Linking displays, TVs or projectors to HDMI sources
• Integrating gaming consoles, set-top boxes or media players into AV setups
• Temporary or portable AV installations where compact adapters are preferred

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI A (full-size) to HDMI A (full-size)
• Maximum supported resolution: up to 8K (with compatible source, display and cables)
• Housing material: metal for enhanced durability and shielding
• Form factor: compact inline coupler for minimal additional length
• Signal type: digital video and audio passthrough

How to use

Insert a full-size HDMI cable from the source device into one side of the adapter and connect a second full-size HDMI cable from the other side to the display or receiving device. Ensure both HDMI cables and connected devices support the desired resolution and refresh rate for optimal performance. The adapter requires no power or configuration and functions as a passive coupler; check cable quality and lengths to avoid signal degradation at very long runs.

Recommendations

For best results use high-speed or Ultra High Speed HDMI cables rated for 8K transmission, avoid excessive cable bends near the adapter, and verify compatibility of source and display devices. When planning long cable runs, consider active cables or signal extenders if you experience loss of image or audio quality.
