HDMI-adapter ShiverPeaks SP10-01052 zwart zilver goud gecoat

The ShiverPeaks SP10-01052 HDMI Gender Changer enables connection of two HDMI cables that both have standard HDMI-A plugs, creating a continuous HDMI link without replacing existing cables. The adapter has metal housing finished in black and silver and gold-plated contacts to improve contact reliability and reduce signal loss over the connection interface. It is compact and passive, requiring no power or drivers, and is suitable for temporary or permanent cable extensions in home or office AV setups.

Advantages

Gold-plated contacts provide corrosion resistance and stable electrical contact for reliable transmission of audio and video signals. The compact metal body offers physical durability and a discreet appearance that integrates easily with monitors, TVs, projectors and AV racks. Being a passive gender changer, it works instantly without configuration and is compatible with standard HDMI-A cable terminations.

Suitable for

• Extending an HDMI run by joining two HDMI-A terminated cables
• Connecting display devices such as monitors, TVs and projectors when a longer cable is needed
• Temporary setups for presentations, meetings or home entertainment rearrangements

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI-A (female) to HDMI-A (female)
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Housing: Metal housing with black and silver finish
• Power: Passive, no external power required
• Compatibility: Works with standard HDMI-A cables and typical HDMI audio/video signals

How to use

Ensure both HDMI cables are unplugged from power sources and devices where practical. Insert each HDMI-A cable plug into one side of the gender changer until it seats firmly. Verify that connectors are fully inserted on both ends and then power on connected devices. If the display does not appear immediately, check cable seating and device input selection. No software or configuration is required.

Recommendations

For best signal integrity, use high-quality HDMI cables and avoid creating excessively long combined cable runs that may exceed the practical length for the cable category. Inspect connectors regularly for debris or damage and avoid applying strong mechanical stress to the joined connection to maintain stable performance.
