HDMI-genderchanger ShiverPeaks BS77406

The ShiverPeaks BS77406 HDMI gender changer is a compact adapter designed to join two HDMI cables quickly and reliably. Featuring gold-plated contacts and a black housing, this HDMI gender changer supports secure mechanical and electrical connections while maintaining signal integrity for audio and video transmission. Its small footprint makes it suitable for tight spaces behind displays, AV cabinets or wall plates.

Advantages

Gold-plated contacts reduce oxidation and help preserve a stable connection over repeated insertions. The adapter’s straightforward design allows for fast installation without tools and provides a neutral coupling point between two HDMI cables. The black finish blends with common AV equipment and cabling for a discreet appearance.

Suitable for

• Extending an HDMI run by joining two HDMI cables
• Connecting HDMI cables where a single continuous cable is not available
• Temporary or permanent AV setups behind TVs, monitors, or projectors
• Installing in compact spaces where a small adapter is required

Key specifications

• Connector A: HDMI
• Connector B: HDMI
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance
• Colour: Black housing
• Form factor: Inline gender changer adapter

How to use

Align each HDMI cable connector with the adapter’s HDMI ports and insert until a secure fit is felt. Ensure cable routing avoids sharp bends and excessive strain at the connection points. Once both cables are connected, verify audio and video output on the target device and adjust cable seating if necessary. For routine checks, disconnect and reconnect to confirm contacts remain clean and seated.

Recommendations

Use this adapter to join HDMI cables of compatible versions and quality. For best performance, pair cables that meet the required HDMI specification for your devices (for example HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.1) and avoid excessively long combined cable lengths that may cause signal degradation. Where possible, test the completed cable run before permanent installation.
