Heggenschaar Makita DUH523RF 18V dubbel mes 3,3 kg

The Makita DUH523RF 18V double blade hedge trimmer weighs 3.3 kg and is designed for efficient trimming and shaping of hedges and shrubs. Compact and well-balanced, this cordless hedge trimmer combines portability with cutting performance, allowing both homeowners and gardening professionals to maintain green spaces with precision. The double blade configuration improves cutting efficiency and reduces the number of passes required to achieve a clean finish.

Advantages

The cordless 18V design provides freedom of movement without the restrictions of a power cable, while the 3.3 kg weight contributes to reduced user fatigue during prolonged use. The double blade layout offers reliable cutting action on thin to medium branches and promotes smoother trimming lines. Its compact build enhances maneuverability in tight spaces and around detailed hedge shapes. Overall construction is focused on balancing power, ergonomics, and practicality for general garden maintenance tasks.

Suitable for

• Shaping and trimming residential hedges
• Pruning small to medium shrubs
• Detail work around pathways and garden borders
• Light commercial hedge maintenance where portability is needed

Key specifications

• Power source: 18V battery (cordless)
• Blade type: double blade for efficient cutting
• Weight: approximately 3.3 kg for comfortable handling
• Design: compact and well-balanced for improved maneuverability

How to use

Before use, ensure the battery is fully charged and correctly fitted according to the battery pack instructions. Hold the trimmer with both hands, maintaining a stable stance and keeping the cutting blades away from the body. Use smooth sweeping motions along the hedge, working from the bottom upward or along the top edge as required to achieve the desired shape. For best results, make multiple light passes rather than forcing the blades through thick branches. After trimming, switch off the unit and remove the battery before performing any cleaning or blade inspection tasks.

Recommendations

For safe and effective trimming, wear appropriate protective equipment such as gloves and eye protection, and avoid cutting branches thicker than the manufacturer's recommended capacity. Regularly clean and lightly lubricate the blades after use, and store the tool and battery in a dry, cool place. Use an appropriate Makita-compatible 18V battery and follow the battery manufacturer's guidelines for charging and storage to maximize runtime and battery life.
