Heggenschaar Makita UN001GZ 40V Li-ion, 500 mm snijlengte

The Makita UN001GZ 40V Li‑Ion cordless hedge trimmer features a 500 mm cutting blade designed for routine garden maintenance, shaping hedges and light to medium pruning tasks. Its battery-powered design removes the need for a power cord, enabling greater mobility and easier access to larger gardens or awkward angles. Dual-action blades help reduce vibration and deliver cleaner cuts, while the integrated safety switch improves operator protection during use.

Advantages

The cordless 40V Li‑Ion platform provides consistent cutting performance without tethering the user to a mains outlet, offering longer runtime and faster recharge when used with compatible batteries. The 500 mm blade length balances reach and control for trimming medium-sized hedges and shrubs. Dual-action blade construction reduces vibration and improves cut quality, and the safety switch, combined with ergonomic handle placement, supports safer operation and better handling.

Suitable for

• Trimming residential hedges and garden shrubs
• Shaping ornamental bushes and formal hedgerows
• Light to medium pruning where a 500 mm cutting length is sufficient
• Maintenance work in areas without easy access to mains power

• Power type: 40V lithium‑ion battery
• Cutting blade length: 500 mm

Recommendations

For best results, use the Makita UN001GZ with a battery of sufficient charge and capacity for the expected workload, and pair it with a compatible charger from the same battery platform. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves and ear protection. Avoid cutting branches that exceed the tool's recommended thickness and perform routine blade maintenance, including cleaning and sharpening as needed, to maintain cutting performance and extend tool life.
