Hikvision DS-PDCL12-EG2-WE bewegingsmelder passieve infrarood (PIR)-sensor draadloos plafondmontage wit

The Hikvision DS-PDCL12-EG2-WE motion detector is a ceiling-mounted passive infrared (PIR) sensor designed for indoor motion detection. Operating on the 868 MHz wireless band and finished in white, the detector monitors changes in infrared radiation to identify human movement and triggers alerts through its integrated LED indicator. The device is powered by a CR123A battery and is engineered for extended battery life, providing up to five years of service under typical conditions. Its compact profile and ceiling mounting make it suitable for unobtrusive installation in homes, offices, and commercial spaces.

Advantages

The detector uses passive infrared technology to provide consistent motion detection without emitting signals, reducing interference with other devices. Wireless operation at 868 MHz allows flexible placement without routing cables, while the LED alarm indicator gives a clear visual confirmation of triggered events. Long battery life from a CR123A cell minimizes maintenance intervals. The ceiling-mounted form factor ensures a wide coverage pattern and helps avoid false triggers from floor-level animals or localized heat sources.

Suitable for

• Indoor perimeter and room motion detection in residences
• Monitoring office spaces, corridors and meeting rooms
• Supplementing commercial security systems in retail or small business premises
• Locations where ceiling-mounted, discreet sensors are preferred

Key specifications

How to use

Mount the Hikvision ceiling PIR sensor on a flat ceiling surface at the recommended height to achieve optimal coverage of the monitored area. Insert a CR123A battery following the polarity markings, then pair the detector with a compatible wireless alarm panel or receiver according to the panel manufacturer's pairing procedure. Position the sensor away from direct air vents, heating sources and reflective surfaces to reduce false alarms. After installation, perform walk tests to verify the coverage pattern and adjust placement if needed.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use a fresh quality CR123A battery and test the detector periodically. Keep the sensor away from direct airflow, heaters, and windows with strong sunlight to minimise false triggers. Follow the alarm panel manufacturer's guidelines for wireless device registration and regularly check signal strength when installing in buildings with thick walls or multiple floors.
