How to use

Connect the keyboard to an available USB port using the attached 1.8 m cable. Insert a compatible Class A, B or C smart card into the reader located at the top of the keyboard when authentication is required. Use the standard keys, function keys and numeric keypad as with any full-size keyboard. If a spill occurs, disconnect the keyboard and follow appropriate cleaning procedures, allowing the spill drain to channel liquids away from internal components.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use the keyboard with HP Business PCs or other systems that support USB input and smart card authentication. Keep the smart card reader area free of debris and remove the card after each use to reduce risk of damage or loss. Avoid exposing the keyboard to excessive liquids despite the spill drain; if heavy spills occur, power down and inspect before reuse.
