HP Z4 PCIe-houder met ventilatoren moederbordventilator zwart 1 stk.

The HP Z4 PCIe Retainer with Fans provides a combined mechanical and thermal solution for HP Z4 workstations. It secures PCIe cards in place while integrating dedicated cooling fans to maintain airflow around high-performance cards. Designed for use in professional workstations, this retainer helps reduce thermal throttling and supports sustained performance during compute- and graphics-intensive tasks.

Advantages

This PCIe retainer offers reliable card stabilization to prevent movement or loosening of expansion cards during transport or heavy use. The built-in fans improve heat dissipation from PCIe slots and adjacent components, contributing to lower operating temperatures and improved component longevity. The design is compatible with the internal layout of HP Z4 workstations, enabling straightforward installation and effective airflow management without additional modifications.

Suitable for

• Workstations running graphics rendering, 3D modeling, or CAD applications
• Systems with high-power PCIe GPUs or accelerator cards
• Environments requiring consistent system stability under prolonged load
• Maintenance upgrades where improved airflow and card retention are needed

Key specifications

• Purpose: PCIe card retention and targeted cooling inside compatible workstations
• Cooling: Integrated fans positioned to direct airflow over PCIe cards
• Compatibility: Designed for HP Z4 workstation chassis layout and mounting points
• Form factor: Internal retainer assembly sized for standard PCIe slots in the specified workstation
• Material: Rigid mounting components with fan housings optimized for airflow

How to use

Power down the workstation and disconnect all power sources before installation. Open the chassis according to the workstation service instructions, locate the PCIe slot area, and position the retainer over the installed expansion cards aligning it with the chassis mounting points. Secure the retainer using the provided attachment points, ensuring cards are firmly held and fans are unobstructed. Reconnect power and verify that the integrated fans spin and that the system recognizes stable card seating during POST and operating system startup.

Recommendations

Regularly check the retainer and fan area for dust buildup and perform cleaning as part of routine maintenance. Ensure that BIOS and system firmware settings allow normal fan operation and monitor temperatures after installation to confirm improved cooling performance. Use only in compatible HP Z4 workstations to maintain intended fit and airflow characteristics.
