5X ARUBA ION 1960 24G 2XT 2XF S-switch

For branch offices and growing workgroups that need wire-speed switching without the complexity of traditional enterprise gear, the HPE Aruba Instant On 1960 24G 2XT 2XF delivers a smart-managed, stackable platform that scales from a single switch to a four-member virtual stack. Unlike unmanaged switches that hide network problems until users complain, this model offers cloud-based monitoring, local web GUI, and Layer 2+ static routing in a 1U form factor that fits any standard rack.

Highlights

• 24× Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 ports for high-density access connectivity
• 2× 10GBASE-T copper uplinks and 2× 10G SFP+ fiber uplinks for flexible backbone links
• 128 Gbps switching capacity and 95.23 Mpps forwarding rate handle bursty traffic with ease
• Virtual stacking up to 4 switches simplifies management and increases resilience
• Cloud-managed via Aruba Instant On app or local web GUI—no separate controller required
• Layer 2+ feature set includes static routing, 256 VLANs, and 9K jumbo frames
• Robust security with 802.1X, DHCP snooping, DoS protection, and port security
• Dual variable-speed fans and internal power supply ensure quiet, reliable operation

In daily use

Deploy the 1960 in minutes: plug in access points, IP phones, and workstations, then use the Instant On mobile app or web portal to configure VLANs, QoS, and link aggregation. The 10G uplinks prevent bottlenecks when connecting to a core switch or NAS, while the stacking capability lets you manage up to four units as one logical device. With a MAC address table of 16,000 entries and support for 256 VLANs, even dense environments run smoothly. Power consumption peaks at just 24.5 W, keeping operating costs low and reducing cooling requirements.
