Front Security Bezel for HP Enterprise Gen8 servers, model 664918-B21-RFB, is an OEM rack accessory designed to provide physical protection for the front of compatible Gen8 systems. The bezel covers drive bays and front connectors, restricting access to internal components and helping to prevent unauthorized drive removal or cable tampering. It is intended for use with HP Enterprise Gen8 rack-mounted servers where orderly front access and basic physical security are required.

Advantages

The security bezel offers a simple, factory-fit option for restricting front access without altering the server chassis. It reduces the risk of accidental drive or cable disconnection and supports compliance with basic physical security policies. Being an OEM HP Enterprise part (MPN 664918-B21-RFB, EAN 5704174223429), it is compatible with Gen8 front mounting points and matches the original fit and finish for rack installation.

Suitable for

• Rack-mounted HP Enterprise Gen8 servers requiring front panel access control
• Data center racks where physical prevention of drive removal is necessary
• Environments needing orderly front cable and drive bay management
• Service or maintenance workflows that require securing front ports between access windows

Ensure the server is powered down or that hot-swap procedures are followed when accessing drive bays. Recommendations

Regularly verify that the bezel is correctly seated and that any locks or fasteners function as intended. Coordinate bezel removal with maintenance schedules to avoid unintended exposure of drives or front connectors. For enhanced security, combine the bezel with data protection measures such as drive encryption and rack-level access controls.
