Managed switch Aruba 2530 8 PoE+

The Aruba 2530 Switch Series delivers reliable, secure Layer 2 switching for enterprise edge, branch office, and SMB deployments. These fully managed switches offer Gigabit or Fast Ethernet port options with models available in 8-, 24-, and 48-port configurations, optional PoE+, optional 10GbE uplinks, and Energy Efficient Ethernet for reduced power consumption. The series integrates with Aruba management tools such as ClearPass Policy Manager and AirWave to provide a consistent wired and wireless user experience.

Advantages

The Aruba 2530 series provides predictable performance and flexible deployment options including fanless models and multiple mounting choices. It supports unified management through web GUI, CLI and SNMP, and enables automatic optimal configuration when connected to Aruba access points for PoE priority, VLAN settings, and rogue AP containment. Built-in power-saving features include IEEE 802.3az support and the ability to disable LEDs and enable port low power mode.

How to use

Install the Aruba 2530 switch in the chosen location using wall, table, or rack mounting. Connect uplink and access devices to the appropriate ports and, if required, enable PoE+ on supported ports. Access the management interface via the web GUI, CLI, or SNMP over the console or micro USB to configure VLANs, QoS, authentication methods (for example 802.1X or Local MAC), and security features such as DHCP protection and dynamic ARP protection. For integration with wireless deployments, connect Aruba access points to allow automatic configuration of PoE priority, VLANs, and rogue AP containment through ClearPass or AirWave.

Recommendations

Choose the model (8/24/48 ports, Gigabit or Fast Ethernet, with or without PoE+ and 10GbE uplinks) to match your port density, power and uplink bandwidth requirements. Use ClearPass and AirWave for centralized policy management and monitoring, and enable energy-saving features if low power operation is a priority.
