Netwerkswitch HP Enterprise 1810-8G — 8-poorts Gigabit Ethernet, unmanaged, model J9802-61001-RFB

HP Enterprise 1810-8G (model J9802-61001-RFB) is an unmanaged 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for small offices, branch locations and basic wired networks. The compact switch provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports to connect workstations, printers, NAS devices and access points. With plug-and-play operation and a fanless design, the switch delivers stable gigabit throughput and simple network expansion without the need for configuration or management software.

Advantages

The HP Enterprise 1810-8G offers reliable wired connectivity with full-duplex Gigabit ports and auto MDI/MDIX on each RJ45 interface. Its unmanaged nature simplifies deployment: install the device, connect cables and the switch begins forwarding traffic immediately. The fanless, low-profile chassis reduces noise and power consumption, while the metal housing supports placement on a desk or mounting in small network cabinets. The model J9802-61001-RFB includes standard LEDs for link/activity and speed status to help with basic diagnostics.

Suitable for

• Small office networks requiring reliable gigabit connections for desktops and printers
• Branch offices or retail locations needing simple, unmanaged switch capacity
• Home offices or studios connecting NAS, IP cameras and media devices
• Temporary network extensions for events, meetings or project rooms

How to use

Place the switch on a flat surface or mount it according to available mounting options. Connect the switch to a power source using the supplied power adapter. Use Cat5e or better Ethernet cables to connect computers, printers and other network devices to any of the eight RJ45 ports. If connecting to an upstream router or modem, use one port for the uplink. The switch operates without configuration: devices receive network connectivity automatically and will negotiate the highest supported speed.

Recommendations

For best performance, use Cat5e or Cat6 cables and ensure devices support gigabit Ethernet for full 1000 Mbps throughput. Position the switch in a well-ventilated area and avoid covering the unit to maintain passive cooling. For networks requiring VLANs, QoS, or remote management, consider a managed switch model instead of this unmanaged model J9802-61001-RFB.
