Inbouwframe Renkforce HDA-250M voor 3,5-inch harde schijven, adapterhouder

The Renkforce HDA-250M mounting frame adapts 2.5-inch hard drives and SSDs for installation into standard 3.5-inch drive bays. It provides a mechanical adapter that aligns a laptop-sized drive to the screw holes and bay dimensions used in desktop PCs, NAS enclosures and many external drive housings. The frame is intended to allow secure fastening of 2.5" storage devices without modifying the chassis and to simplify drive upgrades or repurposing of laptop drives in larger systems.

Advantages

The adapter bracket delivers a stable mechanical interface between 2.5-inch drives and 3.5-inch bays, offering fixed screw mounting points and standard bay alignment. Its simple construction enables quick installation and removal while maintaining drive positioning and compatibility with typical desktop mounting locations. Because it preserves the drive form factor, the frame allows reuse of laptop HDDs or SSDs in desktops, NAS units or external enclosures that accept 3.5-inch drives.

Suitable for

• Installing 2.5-inch HDDs or SSDs into 3.5-inch desktop PC bays
• Converting laptop drives for use in NAS enclosures that accept 3.5-inch drives
• Using 2.5-inch drives in external enclosures or docking stations designed for 3.5-inch units
• Upgrading or expanding storage without modifying the computer chassis

Key specifications

How to use

Place the 2.5-inch drive into the adapter frame so that the drive screw holes align with the bracket mounting points. Secure the drive using the appropriate screws through the bracket into the drive. Insert the assembled adapter and drive into a standard 3.5-inch bay and fasten the bracket to the chassis using the bay mounting screws. Connect power and data cables to the drive as required by the system.

Recommendations

Install and tighten screws evenly to ensure the drive sits securely in the bracket. Use appropriate screw types and lengths to avoid damaging the drive. Ensure proper airflow in the system and follow the drive manufacturer's guidelines for mounting orientation if specified.
