InfiniBand/glasvezelkabel BlueOptics CBL-515-BO QSFP28 AOC 15 m zwart

The BlueOptics CBL-515-BO QSFP28 AOC is a 15 m active optical cable designed for InfiniBand and high-speed fibre optic interconnects. With QSFP28 connectors on both ends and a black jacket, this AOC delivers high-bandwidth, low-latency links suited to data center topologies, rack-to-rack connections, and high-performance computing clusters. The cable is constructed for flexibility and durability to support installation in dense cabling environments while maintaining signal integrity over a 15 metre reach.

Advantages

The BlueOptics CBL-515-BO offers native QSFP28 connectivity for 100Gbps-class links with the inherent electrical-to-optical conversion of an active optical cable, reducing heat and power issues compared with direct-attach copper at similar speeds. Its 15 m length allows longer reach between equipment without additional transceivers. The black outer jacket and lightweight build simplify routing and handling in server rooms and switch cabinets while providing reliable performance under continuous operation.

How to use

Ensure both devices support QSFP28 interfaces and the intended data rate. Route the BlueOptics CBL-515-BO to avoid sharp bends and mechanical strain; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended by your equipment vendor. Insert QSFP28 connectors firmly into compatible ports until they latch and verify link status on connected devices. For hot-plugging, follow your system’s procedures to avoid transient traffic interruptions.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connector housings and avoid excessive flexing near the termination points. Keep the cable away from sources of electromagnetic interference and install in trays or ties that do not compress the jacket. For long-term reliability, periodically inspect connectors for debris and ensure ports are kept covered when unused.
