InfiniBand/glasvezelkabel BlueOptics DEM-CB500S 5 m SFP+ zwart

The BlueOptics DEM-CB500S 5 m SFP+ cable is a fibre optic InfiniBand link designed for high-speed network connections. With SFP+ male connectors on both ends and a 5-metre length, this cable supports reliable data transmission between switches, servers and storage systems in rack and data centre environments. The black jacket provides a discreet appearance while maintaining flexibility for routing in cable trays and conduits.

Advantages

This SFP+ fibre optic cable offers low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity suitable for demanding networking tasks. The pre-terminated SFP+ connectors enable straightforward plug-and-play installation without the need for field termination. Its 5 m length balances reach and manageable routing within racks and patch areas. The cable construction reduces signal loss and supports stable operation over the specified link distance.

How to use

Insert each SFP+ connector into compatible SFP+ ports on networking equipment until the connector latches. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent strain on connectors. Verify link status on connected devices and configure network interfaces according to your environment. For best performance, keep the cable free from kinks and avoid tight bundling with power cables.

Recommendations

Choose this 5 m SFP+ fibre optic cable for short-range, high-throughput connections inside racks or between adjacent racks. Regularly inspect connectors for dust and clean with appropriate fibre cleaning tools before insertion. Use cable management accessories to maintain bend radius and prevent mechanical stress that could affect signal integrity.
