The InLine 17240O is a 40 m DisplayPort 1.4 Active Optical Cable (AOC) with Mini DisplayPort and DisplayPort connectors in black. Designed for long-distance transmission, it preserves high-quality video and audio signals while offering a compact, flexible and robust construction compliant with RoHS and TÜV standards.

Advantages

The DisplayPort 1.4 AOC construction ensures low signal loss over long distances and supports high-resolution video and multi-channel audio. The slim 4.8 mm cable diameter and compact adapters make routing and installation easier in confined spaces. Robust materials and certified compliance provide reliable performance for both professional and private use.

Suitable for

• Connecting computers or laptops with Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort outputs to distant monitors or projectors
• Multi-room AV installations and long-run display connections in offices or conference rooms
• Professional video editing, imaging workstations, and high-resolution presentations

Key specifications

• Cable length: 40 m
• Connectors: Mini DisplayPort ↔ DisplayPort
• Cable diameter: 4.8 mm
• Standard: DisplayPort 1.4 (Active Optical Cable)
• Colour: Black
• Compliance: RoHS, TÜV

How to use

Connect the Mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort plug to the corresponding output on the source device and the DisplayPort plug to the monitor, projector or sink device. Ensure connectors are fully seated and avoid sharp bends near the connector ends. Route the slim 4.8 mm cable along walls, under desks or through cable channels as needed to maintain a tidy installation and prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid kinking the optical cable and observe the minimum bend radius recommended by the manufacturer. Use the cable for direct digital video/audio transmission over long distances where copper cables may lose signal quality; check device compatibility with DisplayPort 1.4 features if using high refresh rates or HDR content.
