DisplayPort-naar-HDMI-kabel 2 m – No Name, model 77492-2, zwart

This DisplayPort to HDMI cable, 2 meters long and finished in black, provides a passive connection for converting a DisplayPort output to an HDMI input. It is designed for situations where a computer, laptop or other source with a DisplayPort can be connected to a monitor, TV or projector that accepts HDMI. The cable carries standard DisplayPort and HDMI signals and supports a single-cable video and audio path when both source and display support passive conversion.

Advantages

The cable offers a simple, single-cable solution for transmitting video and audio without the need for external adapters or power. Its 2 m length gives flexibility for desk and home entertainment setups while maintaining a tidy connection. The passive design keeps compatibility with standard DisplayPort and HDMI signal types and reduces complexity when used with devices that support passive DP-to-HDMI conversion.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop PC or laptop DisplayPort output to an HDMI monitor or TV
• Connecting a workstation to an HDMI projector for presentations
• Home multimedia setups where the source supports passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI conversion
• Temporary or portable setups requiring a 2 m cable length

Key specifications

• Cable type: DisplayPort (source) to HDMI (sink)
• Length: 2 meters
• Connector colors/finish: black
• Conversion type: passive DP-to-HDMI (requires compatible source/device)
• Signal support: standard DisplayPort and HDMI video and audio signals

How to use

Connect the DisplayPort end of the cable to the DisplayPort output on your computer or laptop and insert the HDMI end into the HDMI input on the monitor, TV or projector. Power on both devices and select the appropriate HDMI input on the display. If the source device supports passive conversion, the display should receive both video and audio automatically; you may need to adjust display resolution or audio output settings on the source device to match the target display’s capabilities.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use this passive DisplayPort-to-HDMI cable with systems that explicitly support passive DP-to-HDMI signalling. If the source device requires an active conversion (for example, for some mini DisplayPort or DisplayPort++ implementations or when converting to HDMI on systems without DP++ support), use an active converter or an adapter with its own power source. Avoid excessively bending the cable near the connectors and route it to prevent strain on ports.
