InLine DVI-A adapter DVI 24+5 female / HD15 male

The InLine DVI-A Adapter DVI 24+5 female / HD15 male provides a direct physical connection between a DVI-A output and a VGA (HD15) input. Designed for situations where an analogue DVI signal needs to be routed to a VGA monitor or projector, this compact black adapter converts the DVI 24+5 female interface to a standard HD15 male connector while preserving analogue signal continuity. The adapter is intended to be used where the source device supplies an analogue DVI signal and the target display accepts analogue VGA.

Advantages

This adapter offers a simple plug-and-play solution without requiring external power or signal conversion electronics when an analogue DVI-A signal is present. Its compact form factor and black finish make it unobtrusive in desktop and AV installations. The connector arrangement ensures a secure mechanical connection between the DVI 24+5 female socket and the HD15 male plug, supporting reliable analogue video transmission.

Suitable for

• Connecting older VGA monitors or projectors to devices with DVI-A or DVI-I analogue outputs
• Temporary workstation setups where only analogue video is required
• AV installations that need a compact adapter to link DVI and VGA interfaces

Key specifications

• Connector A: DVI 24+5 female (analogue DVI-A compatible)
• Connector B: HD15 male (VGA / D-sub) in male configuration
• Intended signal type: Analogue video (VGA) only
• Colour: Black
• Form factor: Compact inline adapter for direct connection

How to use

Plug the DVI 24+5 female side onto the DVI-A or DVI-I cable/head providing an analogue signal, then insert the HD15 male connector into the VGA input on the monitor or projector. Ensure connectors are aligned and seated firmly; tighten any connector screws on the VGA side if present to secure the connection. No additional drivers or power are required when the source outputs an analogue DVI signal.

Recommendations

Verify that the source device outputs an analogue DVI signal (DVI-A or DVI-I with analogue pins present). This adapter does not convert digital-only DVI-D signals to VGA. For permanent installations, check connector seating periodically and avoid excessive bending or strain at the connection points to maintain signal integrity.
