InLine Mini SAS HD-kabel, SFF-8643 haaks naar 4x SFF-8482 + stroom, 0,5 m

This InLine Mini SAS HD cable (0.5 m) connects a Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643) interface to four SFF-8482 connectors with integrated power. It is intended for internal use in servers and storage systems to link a SAS controller or backplane to multiple SAS drives, combining data and power connections in a single cable assembly.

Advantages

The angled SFF-8643 connector reduces strain in tight rack or chassis environments while the four SFF-8482 connectors with power provide consolidated connections for several drives. At 0.5 m length the cable supports compact internal routing and is available in black for unobtrusive installation. The design follows standard SAS connector formats to ensure compatibility with Mini SAS HD sockets and SFF-8482 drive interfaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting a Mini SAS HD (SFF-8643) controller or HBA to a 4-bay backplane
• Internal connections between a server SAS controller and multiple SAS hard drives or SSDs with SFF-8482
• Short-reach internal cabling in rackmount servers or storage enclosures

Key specifications

• Length: 0.5 m
• Connector 1: Angled Mini SAS HD 4i (SFF-8643)
• Connector 2: 4 × SFF-8482 with power
• Colour: Black
• Brand: InLine, MPN: 27633A, EAN: 4043718211852

How to use

Power down the system before installing the cable. Insert the angled SFF-8643 plug into the Mini SAS HD port on the SAS controller or HBA, then route the cable to the drive bay area and connect each SFF-8482 plug to the corresponding drive or backplane connector. Ensure each connector is fully seated and that the cable routing avoids sharp bends or contact with moving parts. Restore power and verify that the controller recognises the connected drives.

Recommendations

Use this internal cable for short-distance connections inside servers and storage enclosures. Avoid excessive bending near the connectors and maintain a secure, strain-free routing to preserve signal integrity and connector life.
