Inverterlasapparaat AWTools Speedline AWT-250 LCD VRD, MMA/TIG-inverterlasapparaat

AWTools Inverter Welder Speedline AWT-250 LCD VRD is a compact welding unit engineered for MMA (stick) and TIG applications. The unit provides DC output with stable arc characteristics and an LCD interface for straightforward parameter adjustment. Built with a Voltage Reduction Device (VRD) for improved operator safety, this inverter is suitable for mobile jobs, workshop maintenance, and general metal fabrication where a portable, reliable DC welder is required.

Advantages

The Speedline AWT-250 LCD VRD combines compact size and lightweight construction with inverter efficiency to reduce power losses and enable easier transport. The LCD panel gives clear feedback on welding parameters, simplifying setup and repeatability. VRD enhances safety by lowering open-circuit voltage at idle, reducing the risk of electric shock during handling. The unit supports both MMA and TIG processes on DC, offering versatility for different electrode types and welding tasks.

How to use

Before use, ensure the unit is connected to a suitable mains supply and that all cables and connections are in good condition. Select the required welding mode (MMA or TIG) via the control panel and use the LCD to set the welding current according to material thickness and electrode specification. For MMA welding, fit the appropriate electrode holder and ground clamp; strike the arc as usual and adjust amperage to maintain a stable arc. For DC TIG, install the correct tungsten electrode, set appropriate gas flow, and use a foot pedal or torch control if available to regulate current during welding. Observe standard welding safety procedures including protective clothing, eye protection, and adequate ventilation.

Recommendations

Use electrode diameters and TIG tungsten sizes recommended for the chosen current range to achieve consistent penetration and bead shape. Allow the inverter to cool between long runs to prevent overheating; follow duty cycle guidelines for continuous welding. Regularly inspect and clean electrical connections and cooling vents to maintain stable performance and prolong the unit's service life.
