IP-beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2383G2-IU 3840 x 2160 pixels

The Hikvision DS-2CD2383G2-IU is an outdoor turret IP security camera with 3840 x 2160 resolution. It uses a CMOS sensor and a fixed 2.8 mm lens to provide a horizontal field of view of 107° and a vertical field of view of 57°. The camera supports up to 30 fps, offers a 360° rotation angle for flexible installation, and has detection and observation ranges of up to 88 m and 35 m respectively. The device is wired (Ethernet LAN), designed for ceiling or wall mounting, and comes in a black finish suitable for various outdoor applications.

Advantages

Equipped with Hikvision AcuSense deep-learning algorithms, the camera classifies human and vehicle targets to reduce false alarms and improve alarm relevance. The 4K resolution and 30 fps frame rate deliver clear, high-detail footage for identification and evidence. Its turret form factor and 360° rotation capability simplify positioning, while wired Ethernet connectivity ensures stable network performance for continuous outdoor surveillance.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and property surveillance
• Parking lots and vehicle access points
• Commercial building entrances and outdoor areas
• Public spaces requiring human and vehicle classification

How to use

Install the camera on a stable ceiling or wall surface using appropriate anchors and follow the manufacturer’s mounting instructions to secure the turret. Run a wired Ethernet connection to the camera for power and network access (PoE recommended if supported by the site). Configure IP settings and enable AcuSense functionality via the Hikvision management software or compatible NVR to activate human and vehicle classification alarms. Adjust the camera orientation within its 360° rotation range to cover the desired area and set detection zones and sensitivity levels to match the surveillance requirements.

Recommendations

Place the camera at a height that balances field of view and identification needs (typically 2.5–6 m for outdoor areas), avoid direct lighting into the lens, and periodically verify firmware updates and calibration of detection zones to maintain classification accuracy.
