IP-beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2743G2-IZS dome

The Hikvision DS-2CD2743G2-IZS Dome is an outdoor IP security camera that delivers 2688 x 1520 resolution for clear video capture. Designed for wired network installations, this dome camera supports ceiling or wall mounting and provides a 355° rotation range with a horizontal viewing angle of 95.8°. The motorized varifocal lens with a focal length range of 2.8–12 mm enables variable field of view and zoom, allowing detection at distances up to 200 m and observation up to 79.4 m. Constructed for outdoor placement and finished in black and white, the camera integrates into both commercial and residential surveillance setups.

Advantages

The camera combines high-resolution imaging with a wide horizontal viewing angle and extensive rotation to cover large areas from a single installation point. Wired Ethernet connectivity ensures stable network transmission and consistent frame rate performance at up to 30 fps. The motorized varifocal lens allows on-site or remote adjustment of focal length to balance wide-area coverage and long-range observation. The compact dome form factor and dual-color housing suit a variety of architectural environments while supporting both ceiling and wall mounting.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and grounds monitoring of commercial properties
• Parking lots and access road surveillance
• Residential property exterior monitoring
• Entrances, loading bays and building façades

How to use

Install the camera on a suitable ceiling or wall bracket at a height and angle that maximizes the intended coverage area. Connect the device to a PoE-capable switch or to a power and network connection according to the installation environment. Use the camera's motorized varifocal lens to set the desired focal length between 2.8 and 12 mm for either wider coverage or longer-range observation. Integrate the camera into an NVR or network video management system for continuous recording, live view, and remote configuration. Configure network settings, motion detection zones and recording schedules through the management interface to match site requirements.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor performance, mount the camera under an overhang or use a weatherproof housing where exposure to direct rain or heavy dust is expected. Ensure stable wired network backhaul and, where possible, use PoE to simplify power and data cabling. Regularly verify lens position and clean the dome cover to maintain image clarity. Adjust detection and recording parameters in the management system to reduce false alerts from background motion such as foliage or passing traffic.
