IP-beveiligingscamera SYNOLOGY BC800Z — IP-camera voor binnen en buiten

The varifocal lens provides adjustable focal length to tailor the field of view of an IP security camera to different surveillance requirements. It enables optical zoom and framing changes without replacing the camera module, making it suitable for varied indoor and outdoor installation locations and flexible monitoring with the SYNOLOGY BC800Z.

Advantages

A varifocal lens allows both wide-area monitoring and closer, detailed views by changing the focal length. It reduces installation complexity by enabling on-site optical adjustments and improves coverage efficiency through precise tuning of the viewing angle to match the scene.

Suitable for

• Indoor and outdoor surveillance with IP cameras such as the SYNOLOGY BC800Z
• Monitoring large areas where field of view may need to be widened
• Close-up identification tasks requiring a narrower view
• Installations where optical adjustments are preferred over lens replacement

Key specifications

• Focal type: Varifocal (adjustable angle of view)

How to use

Mount the lens or camera according to the SYNOLOGY BC800Z installation instructions. After securing the camera, rotate the lens barrel or use the camera’s adjustment mechanism to change the focal length until the desired field of view and focus are achieved. Verify focus using live view and recheck after any mechanical movement, then tighten fittings to prevent unintended shift.

Recommendations

Adjust the varifocal lens to widen the angle for broader coverage and narrow it for detailed identification. For precise focus, perform adjustments with live view and sufficient lighting, and periodically verify settings to maintain image clarity.
