IP-camera DAHUA IPC-HDBW1639E1-A-IL-0280B, dome, 1/2,8 inch sensor, IR, PoE

DAHUA IPC-HDBW1639E1-A-IL-0280B is a compact dome IP camera engineered for continuous video surveillance in indoor and sheltered outdoor environments. It incorporates a 1/2.8" image sensor and integrated infrared illumination to capture usable images in low-light conditions. Network connectivity supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), enabling data and power over a single cable and simplifying installation for integration with network video recorders and security systems.

Advantages

The camera's 1/2.8" sensor provides a balance between image detail and sensitivity, while built-in IR illumination extends monitoring capability after dusk without external lighting. PoE compatibility reduces cabling complexity and allows flexible placement. The dome form factor offers discreet mounting and protection for the lens assembly, making the device suitable for a variety of surveillance setups where unobtrusive monitoring is required.

Suitable for

• Retail stores and shop floors
• Office interiors and reception areas
• Apartment building entrances and corridors
• Small warehouses and storage rooms (sheltered areas)
• Integration with NVRs and IP-based security systems

Key specifications

• Image sensor size: 1/2.8"
• Form factor: dome
• Low-light capability: integrated infrared illumination
• Power and network: Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
• Intended installation: indoor and sheltered outdoor use

How to use

Mount the dome camera on a stable surface such as a ceiling or soffit at a height that provides the desired field of view. Connect the camera to the network switch or PoE injector/switch using a suitable network cable; the same cable will supply power when PoE is used. Configure network settings and video parameters via the camera's web interface or through compatible NVR/software, adjusting resolution, exposure and IR settings to match the scene. Test the live view and recorded footage to confirm correct orientation and coverage.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, place the camera where the IR illumination can evenly cover the monitored area and avoid direct light sources pointing at the lens to minimize backlight and glare. Use a PoE-capable switch for simplified installation and consider routine checks of mounting hardware and firmware updates to maintain reliability and security.
