IP-camera Hikvision DS-2CD1343G2-LIUF/SL 4 mm PL — 4 MP, vast brandpunt, IR, PoE

The Hikvision DS-2CD1343G2-LIUF/SL 4 mm PL is a 4 MP fixed-lens IP camera engineered for reliable networked video capture in indoor and outdoor environments. It delivers high-resolution day/night imaging with a 4 mm fixed lens and integrated infrared illumination for clear monitoring in low-light or no-light conditions. The camera supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified installation and network connectivity suitable for offices, retail spaces, and residential properties requiring continuous surveillance.

Advantages

This camera provides sharp 4 MP resolution to capture detailed images and facial features at moderate distances while maintaining efficient bandwidth and storage usage. Integrated IR illumination ensures usable video in darkness without external lighting, and the fixed 4 mm lens offers a balance between field of view and detail for general-purpose monitoring. PoE support reduces cabling complexity by supplying power and data over a single Ethernet cable, and the device’s compact design simplifies placement in both indoor and sheltered outdoor locations.

Suitable for

• Indoor monitoring of offices, hallways and storage rooms
• Retail environments such as shops and checkout areas
• Residential surveillance for entrances, driveways and common areas
• Perimeter or sheltered outdoor monitoring where weather protection is available

Key specifications

• Image sensor: 4 MP progressive-scan sensor for high-resolution video
• Lens: Fixed 4 mm lens providing a medium field of view
• Night vision: Integrated infrared illumination for low-light and no-light recording
• Network: Ethernet connectivity with Power over Ethernet (PoE) support
• Video modes: Day/night operation with electronic image adjustments for varying light conditions
• Mounting: Compact form factor suitable for wall or ceiling installation in covered locations

How to use

Install the camera at the chosen location and align the lens to cover the intended area. Connect the camera to a PoE-enabled switch or injector using a single Ethernet cable to provide both power and network access. Configure basic settings such as IP addressing, resolution, frame rate and exposure through the camera’s web interface or a compatible network video recorder (NVR). Test day and night performance by reviewing live video and adjusting angle or exposure settings as needed to optimize image clarity.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, mount the camera in a sheltered position protected from direct rain and extreme temperatures. Use PoE infrastructure or a certified PoE injector to ensure stable power delivery. If outdoor, place the camera under eaves or in a weatherproof housing and aim to position it 2–6 meters from typical points of interest to balance field of view and detail for a 4 mm lens.
