IP-camera Hikvision DS-2CD2043G2-LIZ2UY/SL (varifocaal 2,8–4 mm)

Hikvision DS-2CD2043G2-LIZ2UY/SL is a compact IP camera with a varifocal 2.8–4 mm lens designed for flexible network video surveillance. The camera offers adjustable field of view to suit different installation distances and monitoring needs, and supports standard network connectivity for integration into IP-based security systems. It is built to serve both indoor and outdoor installations where a combination of compact design and adjustable viewing angle is required.

Advantages

The varifocal 2.8–4 mm lens allows quick adjustment of the viewing angle without replacing optics, delivering either wider coverage or more focused detail as needed. Network connectivity enables centralized recording and remote live viewing, while compact dimensions simplify mounting in constrained locations. The model supports typical IP camera functions for reliable continuous or event-triggered recording and is compatible with common network video recorders and management software.

Suitable for

• Small retail shops and point-of-sale monitoring
• Office spaces and reception areas
• Residential entrances, porches and driveways
• Corridors and stairwells where adjustable viewing angle is beneficial

Key specifications

• Optics: varifocal lens with focal range 2.8–4 mm for adjustable field of view
• Image sensor: 4 MP class sensor for higher-resolution monitoring
• Network: IP network connectivity for remote access and recording
• Mounting: compact form factor suitable for ceiling or wall installation
• Video modes: supports continuous recording and motion-triggered recording modes

How to use

Mount the camera on a stable surface such as a wall or ceiling, position it to cover the intended area, and adjust the 2.8–4 mm lens to obtain the desired field of view. Connect the camera to the local network using the appropriate Ethernet or PoE connection depending on system setup, then add it to your network video recorder or surveillance software using its network settings. Configure recording schedules, motion detection sensitivity, and image settings through the camera's management interface or VMS to match your monitoring requirements.

Recommendations

The camera is recommended for locations that require a balance between wide coverage and detailed observation; set the lens toward the wider end for broad area monitoring and toward the longer focal length for more focused detail. For outdoor installations, ensure correct mounting height and angle, and use proper cable protection and weatherproofing measures where necessary.
