IP-camera Hikvision HIKVISION IP-camera iDS-2CD2T47G2-XS/PP 4mm, vast brandpunt 4 mm

The Hikvision IP Camera iDS-2CD2T47G2-XS/PP 4mm is a fixed-lens network camera engineered for continuous video monitoring in a variety of environments. Equipped with a 4 mm wide-angle lens, the camera provides a consistent field of view suited to general surveillance tasks. Designed to integrate with IP-based recording and management systems, it supports remote viewing and recording for security, retail, office and residential applications where a stable wide-angle perspective is required.

Advantages

This model delivers a fixed, reliable viewing angle through its 4 mm lens, reducing the need for frequent adjustments. As an IP camera, it offers straightforward integration with network video recorders and VMS platforms for centralized monitoring. The camera’s design supports continuous operation and remote access, making it practical for round-the-clock surveillance scenarios. Its wide-angle optics are suitable for covering medium to large areas with a single device.

Suitable for

• Indoor and outdoor general surveillance
• Storefronts and retail aisles
• Office common areas and entrances
• Home security and perimeter monitoring

Key specifications

• Fixed 4 mm lens providing a wide-angle field of view
• Network (IP) connectivity for remote viewing and recording
• Designed for continuous 24/7 monitoring
• Compatibility with standard IP video management systems and NVRs
• Suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation environments

How to use

Mount the camera at the chosen location with a view covering the target area. Connect the device to the local network via Ethernet or PoE (if supported by the installation) and configure IP settings through the camera’s management interface or the network video recorder. Adjust the camera’s angle and focus as needed during installation; because it has a fixed 4 mm lens, framing should be set physically. Set recording schedules, motion detection zones and remote access permissions within the VMS or camera web interface to match your monitoring requirements.

Recommendations

Place the camera to maximize coverage of entry points and high-traffic zones while avoiding direct exposure to bright light sources to reduce glare. Use a compatible NVR or VMS for centralized recording and secure remote access. Regularly verify network connectivity and firmware updates to maintain reliable performance and security.
